HolidayFox vs Campsite Booking System

If you search 'campsite booking system WordPress', this Cumbrian product is on the page. It's not CampSuite (campsuite.net), which is different software. Campsite Booking System puts the calendar on your existing WordPress site through a plugin and WooCommerce, and takes 0% of the booking.

Technophobia Ltd (technophobia.uk/tp-pitch-booking-demo, checked 2026-09-13) also sells WordPress pitch booking under the same Campsite Booking System name. That page lists from £499 self-install or £999 done-for-you, and a card at £1,500 + £49/month. Those figures disagree with campsitebookingsystem.uk's £25/month. This page uses the .uk price. Ask which product you're buying.

I run HolidayFox, so this page isn't neutral. The real question: do you want a fixed £25-a-month WordPress plugin and to answer evenings yourself, or a booking system with a chat that answers at 9pm?

What Campsite Booking System is, and what they do well

They sell an online calendar plus a light WordPress plugin, with shortcodes for booking forms, pitches and categories. Payments go through your Stripe (or another WooCommerce payment option). Guest portal, warden phone app, and calendar links to Pitchup and the rest.

What they do well:

• •It's real campsite software on your own WordPress site: calendar, extras, seasons, closures, vouchers, connections to listing sites.
• •Published, simple prices. £25 a month or £250 a year covers 10 pitches. Extra pitches £25 a year each. No commission. Source: campsitebookingsystem.uk, checked 2026-09-11.
• •Payment stays with you: WooCommerce and your payment provider. The money never sits with them.
• •A free one-pitch trial. You can install it on your website yourself, or pay them to do it if you don't want to touch WordPress.

If you want a fixed £25 a month and zero commission, you're happy in WordPress, and you'll handle the 9pm email, Campsite Booking System is a credible choice. We won't pretend our commission is cheaper than £25 a month.

What HolidayFox is, and where we are different

HolidayFox puts a Book now button on your website, or on one we build for you. Guests pick free dates and pay by card without leaving your site.

A chat answers guests any time of day and helps them book with you. For now they pay through the Book now button; paying in the chat is rolling out.
