You don't need a second PMS (booking system) to take the 9pm booking. HolidayFox runs your calendar and adds a chat that knows which dates are free, plus a Book now button where guests pay by card on your website. If you already have CampManager, you can keep it. Price: free for the Book now button, or from £12.99/month for a website we build for you plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox.

The enquiry arrives while you're closed. By morning they've booked on Pitchup. A general website chat, Intercom or an 'AI receptionist' that only knows your FAQs won't stop that. It can't see which dates are free or take the booking on your website.

I run HolidayFox, so this isn't a neutral page. The chat is part of HolidayFox, not an add-on that needs someone else's booking system.

What works today

Live: answers from your listing, knows which dates are free, the Book now button where guests pay by card (handled by Stripe), one calendar with Pitchup, Airbnb and Booking.com, and your prices in Google's hotel search.

Rolling out: paying inside the chat itself. Until then, the chat gets the guest to a real booking through the Book now button on your website.

You don't change your park software first

  • HolidayFox is the booking system. CampManager and GemaPark add pitch maps, owners and housekeeping. You don't need those to answer guests after hours.
  • If you already have park software, it can stay in step with HolidayFox. Keeping both is optional, not the usual setup.
  • Keep Pitchup for new guests. Its bookings land in your calendar. You don't leave it to answer at 9pm.

Who this is for

  • You answer email in the morning and find they booked on Pitchup overnight.
  • You already have a website (WordPress or other) and just need the Book now button and the chat on it.
  • You use CampManager (or similar) for the reception chart and wondered if you must replace it. You don't, and you don't need to keep it for bookings either.

15 minutes with Hannah. She'll show you the chat on a real listing. If a simple FAQ bot is enough for you, she'll say so.

Questions owners ask

Can I keep CampManager and add after-hours chat?

Yes, if you already have it; the two stay in step. You don't need it, though. HolidayFox runs your calendar.

Is this an Intercom or AI receptionist?

No. Those answer FAQs. HolidayFox knows which dates are free and helps the guest book on your website.

CampManager already does 24/7 online booking — why add chat?

CampManager's 24/7 pages are their own website booking. If guests already book there, you may not need us for evenings. We help with the email or chat question that never reaches a booking page.

Do guests pay inside the chat?

Not yet. They pay through the Book now button on your website. Paying inside the chat is rolling out.

What does HolidayFox cost?

It's free for the Book now button, or from £12.99/month for a website we build for you, plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox. No joining fee. Card fees are separate: Stripe, the card-payment company, takes its standard fee (1.5% + 20p for UK cards).
