HolidayFox vs Holidaymaker
- HolidayFox
- HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.
- Holidaymaker
- Branded guest app + guidebook (not a diary-first PMS)
- Holidaymaker pricing
- Explorer from £199/mo + £500 setup; Pro Lite from £350 + £1,000; Pro from £650 + £1,500. Extra sites £150/mo. (holidaymakerapp.co.uk/pricing, checked 2026-09-11)(checked 2026-09-11)
- HolidayFox pricing
- free for the widget, or from £12.99/month for a full website + 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox
If you search “holiday park guest app UK”, Holidaymaker is on the page. Native app, digital welcome pack, What’s On, push offers, Seeview screens. Explorer is explicitly “without PMS or sales integrations.” Higher plans add PMS connections and HeyguestAI chat.
I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. This is not a diary-vs-diary page. Holidaymaker’s extra is the guest app. HolidayFox is the reservation book. You do not buy an app in order to take a booking.
What Holidaymaker is, and what they do well
A branded guest platform: App Store listing, CMS, routes and maps, weather, offers, community. Pro Lite adds upsells, holiday-home sales tools, staff/owners, screens, PMS & API. Pro adds F&B, channel manager, multi-system sync.
Things they genuinely do well:
- A real guest app. Parks that want a logo in the App Store buy this kind of product.
- Published prices. As shown on holidaymakerapp.co.uk/pricing (checked 2026-09-11): Explorer from £199/month (setup £500); Pro Lite from £350 (setup £1,000); Pro from £650 (setup £1,500). Additional sites or locations £150 each per month.
- Explorer is for sites that do not need a PMS connection. That is their wording. The diary is someone else’s job on that plan.
- HeyguestAI is in-app guest chat on higher plans. It is not HolidayFox’s stock-aware booking assistant on your website.
If your priority is “a branded park app and I already have a diary,” Holidaymaker is a credible extra. We will not pretend 5% replaces a £199 app. We also will not pretend the app is the book.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.
Widget checkout is live on your domain (Stripe). Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out. You do not need Holidaymaker for the diary. Dual-run is optional if you already have the app.
