HolidayFox vs Pitched Booking

If you search 'holiday park booking software UK', Pitched is on the page: first as a Cornwall marketing agency (20 years of websites and ads for parks), then as Pitched Booking. The software is a real booking system: availability grid, tariffs, branded payment pages, connections to listing sites.

I run HolidayFox, so this page isn't neutral. The real question: do you want their park grid and (on Pro) Pitchup Direct, or a booking system with a chat that answers at 9pm?

What Pitched Booking is, and what they do well

Pitched Booking Ltd (Bodmin) sells Guest Booking for park bookings and Activity Booking for sessions: one platform, priced separately. Their public pitch is a visual availability grid, a branded guest portal, monthly or annual plans with 30 days' notice, and no vendor lock-in.

What they do well:

• •It's real park software: arrivals, balances, drag-and-drop grid, promo codes, guest login to pay the balance.
• •Published prices that scale with products, sites and units. As shown on pitchedbooking.com/pricing (checked 2026-09-11): Lite £49 p/m, Pro £81 p/m. Custom is POA. Yearly is shown as a monthly figure with a 12-month minimum; monthly is 30 days' notice, or 12 months for the price of 10.
• •Pro adds Pitchup Direct, Campsites.co.uk, calendar links for other listing sites, pick-a-pitch, and unlimited unit types. Lite is capped at five unit/pitch types and basic email support. A set-up fee applies on Lite; Pro says free set-up, though complexity can still add a fee.
• •Zero commission on bookings processed (pitched.co.uk/booking, checked 2026-09-11). UK phone 01726 418 118.

If you want a UK park grid, Pitchup Direct on Pro, and you'll answer evenings yourself, Pitched Booking is a credible choice. At the £49 Lite figure they show, we won't pretend our commission is cheaper on software cost.

What HolidayFox is, and where we are different

HolidayFox puts a Book now button on your website, or on one we build for you. Guests pick free dates and pay by card without leaving your site.

A chat answers guests any time of day and helps them book with you. For now they pay through the Book now button; paying in the chat is rolling out.

Pitchup, Airbnb and Booking.com bookings land in the same calendar, so you're never double-booked. We list you on holidayfox.com and in Google's hotel search, and set it all up for you.

You don't need Pitched Booking to run your calendar.

• •Finding new guests. HolidayFox lists you on holidayfox.com and in Google's hotel search. Keep Pitchup either way: they connect through Pitchup Direct (Pro) or calendar links; with HolidayFox, Pitchup bookings land in the same calendar.

Who each one is right for

• •Choose Pitched Booking if you want a published monthly park booking system and will answer evening enquiries yourself.
• •Choose Pitched Booking if you also need activity-session booking (climbing, aqua, visitor attractions) in the same product.
• •Choose HolidayFox if you have a simple or WordPress website and guests still go to Pitchup after hours.
• •Choose HolidayFox if you'd rather pay when guests book than a per-unit subscription before the season starts.
