If you search “campsite booking software UK”, Outdore is often on the page. They sell a specialist campsite/glamping PMS: satellite-map pitch picking, Stripe, iCal to Pitchup and Airbnb, a free website if you need one, and they also run a guest app that sends extra bookings.
I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. Outdore is a real PMS. HolidayFox is a real PMS. The useful question is which book you want — and whether you also want their marketplace app.
What Outdore is, and what they do well
Outdore (uk.outdore.co.uk) is built for camping and glamping. They publicly say they combine a PMS for direct bookings with an OTA (the Outdore App). They claim 160+ UK campsites. Direct bookings via your own link are 0% commission to Outdore.
Things Outdore genuinely does well:
- It is a real campsite PMS. Calendar, deposits/balances, extras, camping-club membership IDs, mobile owner app.
- Map-based pitch picking. Guests preference a pitch on a satellite map. That is their extra, not a brochure calendar.

- A free Outdore-hosted website if you have none, plus iCal to Pitchup/Airbnb.
If your priority is “map pitch picker plus a cheap £1/booking diary (and I have 16+ pitches), and I am fine listing on the Outdore App,” Outdore is a credible answer. We will not pretend 5% is cheaper than £1 a booking on software cost.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.
The after-hours live-chat assistant is part of that book. Widget checkout is live on your domain. Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out. You do not need Outdore for the diary.
- Job to be done. Both run a diary and website bookings. HolidayFox also answers the 9pm enquiry and lists you on Google Hotels. Outdore’s extra is the map and their guest app.
- Where checkout lives. Outdore’s headline path is a Book-online link into their map journey (embed widgets on Standard). HolidayFox takes card on your domain in the on-page widget.

Who each one is right for

- • You want £1/booking software cost and will handle evening enquiries yourself.
- You want one system for the diary, website checkout, after-hours live chat and Google Hotels.
- You have WordPress or a brochure site and guests still bounce to Pitchup after hours.
- You want to pay when they book through your book, not join another campsite app as the default extra door.
