If you search 'campsite booking software UK', Outdore is often on the page. They sell specialist campsite and glamping software: picking a pitch on a satellite map, Stripe payments, calendar links to Pitchup and Airbnb, a free website if you need one, and a guest app that sends extra bookings.
I run HolidayFox, so this page isn't neutral. Both are real booking systems. The real question: which one do you want, and do you also want their guest app?
What Outdore is, and what they do well
Outdore (uk.outdore.co.uk) is built for camping and glamping. They publicly say they combine a PMS for direct bookings with an OTA: the Outdore App, where guests find and book sites. They claim 160+ UK campsites. Direct bookings through your own link are 0% commission to Outdore.
What Outdore does well:
- It's real campsite software: calendar, deposits and balances, extras, camping-club membership IDs, a mobile app for owners.
- Map-based pitch picking. Guests choose a preferred pitch on a satellite map. That's their extra.
- Published, simple prices. Starter is £1 per booking (they mark Starter for 16+ pitches), or no Outdore fee if you pass fees to the guest. Standard from £31 a month. Source: uk.outdore.co.uk/pricing, checked 2026-09-11.
- A free Outdore-hosted website if you have none, plus calendar links to Pitchup and Airbnb.
If you want a map pitch picker and a cheap £1-a-booking calendar (with 16+ pitches), and you're happy to be listed on the Outdore App, Outdore is a credible choice. We won't pretend our commission is cheaper than £1 a booking.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox puts a Book now button on your website, or on one we build for you. Guests pick free dates and pay by card without leaving your site.
A chat answers guests any time of day and helps them book with you. For now they pay through the Book now button; paying in the chat is rolling out.
Pitchup, Airbnb and Booking.com bookings land in the same calendar, so you're never double-booked. We list you on holidayfox.com and in Google's hotel search, and set it all up for you.
You don't need Outdore to run your calendar.
- Where the guest pays. Outdore's main path is a Book online link into their map journey (booking widgets for your own site come with Standard). With HolidayFox, guests pay by card on your website.
- Finding new guests. Outdore says every listing in its software is added to its app. HolidayFox lists you on holidayfox.com and in Google's hotel search. Keep Pitchup too: its bookings land in the same calendar.

Who each one is right for
- Choose Outdore if map-based pitch picking is what you're buying.
- Choose Outdore if you want £1-a-booking software and will answer evening enquiries yourself.
- Choose HolidayFox if you have WordPress or a simple website and guests still go to Pitchup after hours.
- Choose HolidayFox if you'd rather pay when guests book on your website than join another campsite app.

Can I keep Outdore and use HolidayFox?
