If you run a UK holiday park, glamping park or touring site and you want a WordPress shortcode for availability, Holray is one of the names you will hear. They sell live calendars, seasonal pricing, online payments and park management without a stack of spreadsheets.
I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. Holray is a real booking PMS. HolidayFox is a real PMS. The useful question is who takes the 9pm enquiry — and whether you want to pay per unit per year or when the guest books.
What Holray is, and what they do well
The Holray System (holray.co.uk) is specialist software for holiday parks, glamping, touring and camping. Availability embeds as a WordPress shortcode, iframe, redirect to a hosted booking page, or an API.
Things Holray genuinely does well:
- It is a real park booking PMS. Colour-coded calendars, seasonal tariffs, extras, minimum stays, owner reporting, guest comms.
- WordPress is a first-class embed: a shortcode or plugin, plus iframe for other CMS. Checkout can stay in the iframe or redirect to Holray pages.

If your priority is “per-unit annual software I can drop into WordPress, and I will answer the emails,” Holray is a credible answer. We will not invent a cheaper per-unit undercut.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.
Widget checkout is live on your domain (Stripe). Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out. You do not need Holray for the diary. If you already have it, iCal can sync — you do not have to.
- Job to be done. Both put a book on the website. HolidayFox also answers after hours and lists you on Google Hotels.
- Where checkout lives. Holray can iframe or send the guest to Holray checkout pages. HolidayFox takes card on your domain in the on-page widget.
