If you run a UK holiday park or touring site, GemaPark is on the park-software shortlist. They sell cloud park management (bookings, owners, housekeeping, activities) and publish website widgets plus a booking API.
I run HolidayFox, so this page isn't neutral. The real question: do you need park operations and a hosted payment portal, or a booking system that takes payment on your own website, even at 9pm?
What GemaPark is, and what they do well
GemaPark is UK cloud software for holiday parks. They pitch one portal for bookings, properties, customers, activities, maintenance, housekeeping and reporting, plus online booking, a guest area and an owners portal.
What GemaPark does well:
- It's real park software: arrivals, housekeeping, owner records, meter readings, activities with limited slots.
- Website booking is a main product: hosted booking pages, iframe widgets that show availability on your site, or a full booking API. They publish developer docs for the widgets.
- The widget search stays on your pages. The guest completes the booking on GemaPark's hosted secure portal, branded to look like your site.
- Connections parks actually use: channel manager, ANPR number-plate barriers, pay-as-you-go electric, email tools.
If you need owners, housekeeping, extras and a branded hosted portal, GemaPark is a credible choice. Prices aren't published; ask them for a demo. We won't invent a figure.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox puts a Book now button on your website, or on one we build for you. Guests pick free dates and pay by card without leaving your site.
A chat answers guests any time of day and helps them book with you. For now they pay through the Book now button; paying in the chat is rolling out.
Pitchup, Airbnb and Booking.com bookings land in the same calendar, so you're never double-booked. We list you on holidayfox.com and in Google's hotel search, and set it all up for you.
The main difference from GemaPark: their widgets send the guest to a hosted portal to pay. With HolidayFox, the guest pays on your own website.
You do not need CampManager, GemaPark or SuperControl to run the calendar. If you already have one, HolidayFox can share dates with it so you're never double-booked. You don't have to keep it.

GemaPark doesn't publish prices; check with them. HolidayFox figures from holidayfox.com/en/partners, reviewed 2026-09-13. On 13 Sep 2026 we checked the homepages of Pitchup's UK and Ireland listings (3,493 rows) and found gemapark.co.uk on 41 operator sites. That is not GemaPark's market share. An older, looser search had counted 70, of which 22 were Hipcamp listing URLs.
Who each one is right for
- Choose GemaPark if you need owners, housekeeping, extras and a hosted booking portal.
- Choose GemaPark if you've already paid for it and want to keep it. HolidayFox can share dates with it, but doesn't need it.
- Choose HolidayFox if you want one system for your calendar, bookings paid on your own website, a chat that answers any time, and Google's hotel search.
- Choose HolidayFox if you have a simple or WordPress website and guests still go to Pitchup after hours.

Is HolidayFox a GemaPark alternative?
Yes. HolidayFox runs your calendar, bookings and payments, and guests pay on your own website. GemaPark's extra is park operations: owners, housekeeping and a hosted portal. If you don't need those, you don't need GemaPark.
Can I keep GemaPark and use HolidayFox?
Yes. HolidayFox can share dates with it, so you're never double-booked. Running both is optional, not the usual setup.
Does GemaPark include a booking widget?
Yes: search, results and calendar widgets, plus a hosted booking portal and an API. HolidayFox's difference is a chat that knows which dates are free, and payment that stays on your own website.
What does HolidayFox cost?
HolidayFox is free for the Book now button, or from £12.99/month for a website we build for you, plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox. No joining fee. Card fees are separate: Stripe, the card-payment company, takes its standard fee (1.5% + 20p for UK cards). GemaPark is quote-only: ask them for a current figure.
How many UK parks use GemaPark?
We don't have a market-share figure and won't invent one. On 13 Sep 2026, Pitchup UK and Ireland listing homepages showed gemapark.co.uk on 41 operator sites. An older, looser count of 70 included 22 Hipcamp listing URLs. 41 isn't their customer count.
