If you search “holiday park PMS” or “RV park software”, Newbook is a global name. Australian-founded, UK number +44 1732 409 999, acquired by Storable in May 2024. They claim 55,000+ hospitality providers. They sell the whole operation: front desk, channels, POS, enterprise CRS.

I run HolidayFox, so this is not a neutral page. Newbook is a real PMS. HolidayFox is a real PMS. The useful question is whether you need that enterprise ops stack, or a book that takes the guest on your own website at 9pm.

What Newbook is, and what they do well

Newbook’s public pitch is an all-in-one hospitality platform: PMS, online booking, channel manager, central reservation system, self-service / key access, enterprise multi-park tools. They also sell Newbook Essentials for smaller single sites.

Things Newbook genuinely does well:

  • It is a real park / hotel PMS. Reservations, rates, inventory, guest comms, reporting.
  • Channel manager and CRS so a group can run many sites from one book. That extra is why BIG4-scale parks buy them.
  • POS, access control and 100+ third-party integrations. Park operations, not a brochure calendar.
  • UK phone support on +44 1732 409 999. Pricing: request a demo — they do not publish a public UK price list (newbook.cloud, checked 2026-09-11).

If your priority is “enterprise CRS, POS and a channel manager we can staff at reception,” Newbook is a credible answer. Third-party directories sometimes quote a dollar starting price. That is not their invoice. Ask them.

What HolidayFox is, and where we are different

HolidayFox is a full PMS for independent stays: calendar, bookings, payments, guest messaging, self check-in, a daily agenda, a booking widget or hosted website, after-hours live chat, and Google Hotels.

Widget checkout is live on your domain (Stripe). Paying inside the chat thread is still rolling out. You do not need Newbook for the diary. If you already have it for POS or a group CRS, iCal can sync — you do not have to.

  • Job to be done. Both can hold a book. HolidayFox also answers after hours and lists you on Google Hotels. Newbook’s extra is enterprise ops (CRS, POS, 100+ integrations).
  • Scale. Newbook is built for groups and staffed parks. HolidayFox is built for independent stays.
  • How you pay. Newbook: quote. HolidayFox: free for the widget, or from £12.99/month for a full website plus 5% commission on bookings taken through HolidayFox.
  • Risk to try. No joining fee. Keep Pitchup via iCal. Cancel if it is not working.

  • You have a brochure site and guests still bounce to Pitchup after hours.
  • You want to pay when they book, not a quoted enterprise licence before the season starts.
