If you run a larger UK holiday park, campground or a small group, RMS Cloud is one of the global names on the shortlist. They sell cloud software for hotels, motels, holiday parks, campgrounds and serviced apartments: reservations, a booking engine, a channel manager, payments, POS.
I run HolidayFox, so this page isn't neutral. The real question: are you buying park or hotel operations for a group, or a booking system that takes the guest on your own website, even at 9pm?
What RMS Cloud is, and what they do well
RMS (rmscloud.com) is cloud hospitality software. They publicly claim 6,000+ hotels, motels, holiday parks, campgrounds and serviced apartments across 70+ countries. They sell operations, direct bookings and guest stay tools together.
What RMS does well:
- It's real park and hotel software: reservation grid, site-based inventory, housekeeping, multi-property, reporting. Built for operators who run a reception, not only a website.
- Its own booking engine and channel manager. Guests can book on the park's site, and listing sites stay up to date without a separate channel product.
- Park extras many independents never buy: interactive site maps, POS, group controls, GDS for hotel chains.
- Pricing is a quote by sites or units, plus implementation. We won't invent a monthly figure from a third-party blog.
If you want one operations platform for a busy park or a group, including maps, POS and channels, RMS is a credible choice. Ask them for a demo.
What HolidayFox is, and where we are different
HolidayFox puts a Book now button on your website, or on one we build for you. Guests pick free dates and pay by card without leaving your site.
A chat answers guests any time of day and helps them book with you. For now they pay through the Book now button; paying in the chat is rolling out.
Pitchup, Airbnb and Booking.com bookings land in the same calendar, so you're never double-booked. We list you on holidayfox.com and in Google's hotel search, and set it all up for you.
You don't need RMS to run your calendar.
- Where the guest pays. RMS embeds its own internet booking engine. With HolidayFox, guests pay by card on your website, with the chat on the same site.
- How you pay. RMS is a quoted subscription plus implementation. HolidayFox's price is in the table below. No joining fee.

Who each one is right for
- Choose RMS if you run a large park or group and need maps, POS, housekeeping and GDS.
- Choose RMS if you've already paid for it and want to keep it. HolidayFox can share dates with it, but doesn't need it.
- Choose HolidayFox if you have a simple or WordPress website and guests still go to Pitchup after hours.
- Choose HolidayFox if you want to try direct bookings without a joining fee or an implementation project.
